Political Instability in Pakistan Again

In recent months, Pakistan has been amid a deepening political instability, with tensions between the government and opposition parties reaching new heights. A deteriorating security and a struggling economy have further complicated the situation.

The crisis began in early 2023 when opposition parties accused the government of Former Prime Minister Imran Khan of election rigging in the 2022 general elections. The opposition parties, led by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), staged protests and rallies across the country, demanding fresh elections and an independent investigation into the alleged rigging in 2022.

The government, however, refused to concede to these demands, arguing that the election was free and fair and that the opposition was trying to destabilize the country. The government also took a hardline stance against the opposition, cracking down on protesters and arresting several opposition leaders.

Not only political, Pakistan is also suffering from Industrial Crisis. The crisis has also significantly impacted Pakistan’s economy, which has been struggling with high inflation, a widening trade deficit, and a growing debt burden. The crisis has led to declining investor confidence, with foreign investors pulling out of the country and domestic investors adopting a wait-and-see approach.
