Recently, there has been considerable buzz surrounding Apple’s potential development of their ChatGPT competitor, referred to as “Apple GPT.”
According to renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the AI chatbot, Apple GPT, is not expected to see the light of day anytime soon, as it appears to be years away from being ready for release.
Kuo expressed his views in a blog post outlining various factors that could impact Apple’s stock prices in the upcoming months. He believes that Apple GPT’s progress needs to catch up to its competitors in generative AI.
Consequently, Kuo anticipates the impact of Apple GPT on Apple’s stock prices only after a while.
In light of these observations, Kuo has expressed skepticism regarding the emphasis Apple might place on AI during the upcoming earnings call, scheduled for 2 p.m. PT on Thursday, August 3.
Given the current state of development, it is unlikely that Apple will extensively discuss its generative AI efforts during the earnings call.
It remains to be seen how Apple will address these challenges and whether it can catch up to its competitors in the AI chatbot space. Apple GPT has some catching up before becoming a viable market rival.
