Iran Decided to Supply 100mw Electricity Daily to Gwadar

In a significant development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that Iran has agreed to supply 100 megawatts (MW) of electricity daily to Gwadar in Balochistan, Pakistan. Explore more.

During the inauguration of the transmission line project and a marketplace at the Mand-Pishin border crossing point, which took place in the presence of Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the prime minister shared this exciting news.

The state-run APP reported that the transmission line would play a crucial role in meeting the energy requirements of the region, benefiting households and businesses alike by providing an additional 100MW of electricity from Iran.

In an interview with Iran’s official news agency IRNA, Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized the importance of enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Iran. He highlighted that the energy projects and border markets symbolize the strong and vital friendship between the two nations.
