Pakistani PM Shehbaz Inaugurates National Aerospace Science & Tech Park

Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) in a meaningful event at the Pakistan Air Force Nur Khan Base in Rawalpindi.

The park is hailed as a project of immense national and strategic importance, expected to bring multifaceted benefits to the country, reported by The News International.

Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was received by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, along with other federal ministers and high-level civil and military officials.

During his speech at the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister emphasized that the NASTP would play a pivotal role in driving technological advancements and fostering self-reliance. It is envisioned as a platform for the youth and future generations to thrive in the aerospace science and technology domain.

The chief guest praised the Pakistan Air Force and its skilled personnel for their remarkable efforts in achieving this milestone within a record time frame.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence in the NASTP’s potential to leverage the collective wisdom and propel Pakistan’s economy onto a fast track of progress.

The project boasts state-of-the-art design, innovation, research, and development centers, which are expected to attract foreign investment to the country. It was noted that the Aerospace Science and Technology Park, under the patronage and support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), will also bolster the information technology sector as a critical component of the economic revival initiative.

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, expressed gratitude to COAS General Syed Asim Munir for his cooperation, collaboration, and personal involvement, which paved the way for realizing the NASTP’s vision.

The NASTP is envisioned to foster research, development, and innovation in aviation, space, cyber, and computing.

It aims to yield social, economic, technological, and scientific dividends for Pakistan and its valuable partners. This project is expected to be a milestone in boosting the country’s independent economy and fostering unprecedented technological advancements.
