PM Congratulates Drs. on 1st Robotic Surgery

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the people and doctors of Pakistan on introducing robotic surgery at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) in Islamabad.

The Prime minister expressed gratitude for the efforts made in advancing liver and kidney treatment in the country and stated that the purpose of establishing PKLI was to provide a modern facility for treating kidney and liver diseases within Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif hailed PKLI as a world-class liver and kidney treatment facility for a successful robotic surgery that would become the John Hopkins of Pakistan. Let’s see why this news became a trend.

However, he also mentioned that PKLI could have progressed further if former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar had not intervened just to get a salary raise for his brother. He expressed hope that PKLI would significantly reduce the mortality ratio and prevent kidney and liver diseases, which have been on the rise in Pakistan.

The current mortality ratio of kidney disease in Pakistan stands at 2.77, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need for effective measures to address this issue.

The Prime Minister also pledged that the government would establish state-of-the-art hospitals similar to PKLI in other parts of the country. He shows his happiness on the first successful Robotic Surgery in Pakistan.

He criticized the previous government for using technology to target government institutions and political adversaries, highlighting that the incumbent government is using it for public welfare, with education and health facilities being its priority. He stated that the course of public welfare had been revived, which was disrupted in 2018, and he is committed to continuing this path regardless of the cost.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed appreciation for introducing robotic surgery at PKLI and emphasized the government’s commitment to improving healthcare facilities and reducing the mortality ratio of kidney and liver diseases in Pakistan. He also highlighted the government’s focus on public welfare and establishing state-of-the-art hospitals nationwide.
