Social media personality, Hareem Shah receives thanks from netizens across Pakistan after internet services were restored.

Along with many others, Hareem Shah had been demanding the reinstatement of internet services, suspended nationwide on May 9th following violent protests after the arrest of Imran Khan.

In a tweet, she warned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah that she would release all the videos if internet services were not restored by that night, GEO news.

However, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah had stated that internet services would not be restored until all the elements involved in violent protests were arrested. He also claimed that social media platforms were used for planning and executing terror activities during the protests.

Despite the government’s stance, netizens have rushed to thank Hareem Shah for playing her role in resuming internet services. It is worth noting that many businesses suffered losses due to the suspension of mobile broadband services, adversely affecting the country’s IT and telecom sectors.
