ICC World Cup 2023 has been set to take place in India. The tournament will be held from October 5 to November 19, 2023.
Qualification and Teams
A total of 10 teams will participate in the World Cup 2023. As the host nation, India has secured direct qualification with Afghanistan, Australia, England, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa.
These teams earned their spots by performing in the 2020-2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. The ongoing World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe will determine the remaining two teams.
Opening Match and Final
The Cricket World Cup 2023 opening match is scheduled for October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah, has announced that the tournament’s final will also be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Semi-Finals
The first semi-final of the Cricket World Cup will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In contrast, the second semi-final will occur at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Tournament Venues
A total of 10 venues have been selected for the ICC World Cup 2023. The venues include Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
Warm-up Matches
In addition to the main tournament, warm-up matches will be held in Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad from September 29 to October 3.
